Still don't know what to do.........
24 Answers
I'm back again on here as I've asked for advice before.
I have been in an abusive relationship and still don't know what to do.
I still keep causing my partner to be angry and when he gets angry I freeze with fear. He hasn't hit me for a while but the threats are getting worse and more frequent.
Another thing is we have been invited to a family wedding & christening soon, and I'm not sure if I can keep acting normal.

Mycats thanks for your advice, I don't really have an emergency plan because every time I think of it I get so nervous and the thought of him catching me in my attempt to leave really worries me. I hope I will be strong like u one day, just do it.......
Joannab thanks for your advice too, I have been with him for 10 years believe it or not, this is why it is so difficult and why I have mixed feelings........I really don't know.........

Hi,
why not take one small step and call for advice. Call the samaritans
http://www.samaritans.org/
Try and think in small steps and maybe you wont feel so scared. Honestly, just dial the number and have a chat, don't think too far ahead. After your chat then think of your next step!
10 years is a long time, but do you really want another 10?
Good luck honey x x

Yes thats right, you could get the support of womens aid behind you, Im sure it would make a big difference if you had some support and wouldn't feel like you were taking this really big step on your own. You know there are quite a few 'WomensRefuges' around the country now and they are not purely for women who have been physically battered but for those who are mentally and emotionally abused too (and please believe me when I tell you that most abusive men say they have never been 'like that' to any of their ex's, they go into denial about it and convince themselves). When you take that very first step you'll feel so much stronger than you do now, it'll get easier after that and you'll carry on gaining strength. You have alot of life left.Enjoy it!
