if a 18 year old get pregnant by a 16 year old, could she get in trouble?

As far as I know, the age of consent for females is 16 years, whilst there is still no age of consent for heterosexual males (It is 18 years - reduced from 21 - fro homosexual males)... As such, this scenario would impose no term of statutory rape.

really? i thought the age of consent for heteros (both genders) was 16. whatever....the answer is no she wouldn't get in trouble...apart from with her parents, hopefully.

It would be important for two young people in that situation to get help and support - from family if possible, but certainly from medical/ social workers. Pregnancy is *serious* -- but that doesn't mean *troublle*!!

I could be wrong... it's years since I had to think about these things :-) And what with the recent spate of teenage boys getting laid with teachers, etc... I wouldn't be surprised if there was an age of consent!
