I have a brand new Nissan Note Acenta. However, when I turn the fan on, the air-conditioning comes on as well and I have to press the air-con button to turn it off. This happens even if the heater is turned to hot. I've looked in the instruction manual and I'm pretty sure this isn't supposed to happen. Does anyone know for sure, please? Thanks!

In my Nissan (Primera) this happens automatically if the fan is switched to point at the windscreen (I suppose it helps demisting)

Try pointing the fan/blower away from the windscreen and see if it still happens ('cos if it does frankly I'm flummoxed!)
You could try reading the manual, or asking the dealer.
Oops sorry, you've tried point one. Try point two.
Yours is probably the same as others that have "climate control" instead of "Air conditioning" though they mean the same.

I prefer "A/C" as this allows the driver to control it, "C/C" does it's own thing whether you want it to or not.
