Suspicious of Bush
Is it just me or does anyone feel suspicious of Bush and Rice being so vocal about events in Burma.
Example. 12 people have been killed by Israelis in Palestine over the last 48 hours, but there is no mention by him about this.
I just wonder what it is he has to gain from this as I don't believe he gives a flying...considering the dead millions and civilans in other regions and clamp down on those who don't agree with his regime changes.
I'm wondering if it the extensive gas fields or their proximity and friendliness with China could be a factor. Call me a cynic but it is very odd in my humble opinion.

After over 20 years of this regime people got worried and unrested about the economic crisis and their general repression ad started holding massive demonstrations. To surpress this the troops slaughtered 3000 protesters. Then they had elections some years ago which the democratic part won but the elections were annulled.
So again people miffed at the double increase in price of fuel are trying to protest peacefully against the junta and they are now raiding monasteries and rounding up monks and students. I think world leaders are trying to stop 3000 people being slaughtered again. Its no different to the whole world trying to stop 9/11 happening again.
The UN have always had issues with the abuse of human rights in Burma, many countries have a trades and arms embargo on Burmese products and firms aren't allowed to invest there either. So its little wonder Bush is speaking out about this.

Paul You are not a cynic. This idiotic President is shallow naive & a phoney. How can he make so called justifiable comments on what is going on in another country, when he himself is guilty of similiar, or worse atrosoties in Iraq.
What he & , his sidekick, Ms (Annie Oakley)Rice do not understand is that, globally the US are despised because of its outdated wild west mentality.
"We are doing this in the name of democracy"
As the so called enemy quite rightly see, western democracy is a sham & inspired by capitalists without morals & values. They see,as i see, the global policeman is a hypocrit. greedy & non socialist regime, which the world would be better off without.
