Hi guys, my son as changed his alloys on his Passat for some new alloys, does he need to tell his insurance when its due for renewal

if its not standard and has been added to the car,then yes,if they are then stolen as a lot of wheels do,he will be covered for them.

Hi normanthedog, the car is fitted with Passat alloys as standard so will this make a difference.
if the car was fitted with alloys at new,then thats ok.
i thought the usual thing to say was 'i dont know, that what it was like when i bought it"

How or why do I keep getting the same answer 3/4/5 times???
i think the insurance company has to be notified as the car is being modified from factory condition.
