just downloaded limewire but it says to only download songs with a little padlock next to them. thing is none of the songs have a padlock next to them and it says that the songs are illegal.. what do i do?

You could risk downloading the illegal songs and any accompanying viruses and lord knows what else.

Or buy the music legally.

I've been downloading songs from Limewire, regardless of the padlock sign (which I don't remember seeing) for years now. Not had any problems so far- touch wood :-)

I too have had no problems.But ensure that you have a good antivirus installed ( I use AVG Free ) and if it indicates that a particular download is infected then delete it.

Ive downloaded over 7000 tracks from limewire without a problem, just keep AVG updated!!

as long as you run anti virus you will be fine.
do not download wma format files as these tend to be the dodgy ones.
