I am going to fill in the forms for a job with Royal Mail in the sorting office. Are there any posties out there who could offer some tips? Whats it like? What about the pay? I am worried about the section on criminal convictions. If I leave it bank do they check? If I say that I have drink driving and fare evasion convictions will that stop me geting an interview?

As with any job, be upfront and honest. They will find out in the end anyway.

If you stick to the rules its not a bad job but you can get stuck in the job very easily. Wages are not bad and the conditions are quite good
