I need to kit out a tea room in a chintzy style and need appropriate looking table stuff, but I just can't think of where sells this sort of thing these days -
it seems simple and plain is the fashion at the moment.

To buy or hire.
I am in the northwest

I am running out of time - any ideas?

Many Thanks
Joko

Hi joko, have you looked in Wilkinsons? Their kitchenware range is quite good, and they have a variety of styles, including more "fussy" patterns, lacy tablecloths, doilies, china cups etc. Also not very expensive!

You could check out your local charity shops too, they might have some "grannyware"!

Good luck x
Hi joko - www.royalwinton.co.uk Sorry, haven't any ideas for emediate outlets.
I would go with leela's idea and go and raid all the charity shops in your area. Also any local hardware shops (we have two up town that are literally floor to ceiling with items and can usually find what you are looking for) that seem to sell a variety of home and garden items usually have items that may be what your after.
Laura Ashley sprung to mind but the patterns maybe a bit racy for what your needing but it may be worth checking out.

Good Luck!! :o)
have you got a Dunheim near you they have all that things to match.. Hope this helps
Laura Ashley's always flowery and dotty??!!
eau-naturale they have lots of lovely things, I have difficulty in walking past there without going in
i think wendilla meant dunelm: http://www.dunelm-mill.com/ but they tend to have fairly fashionalbe stuff.
charity shops and local pound shops will probably be the cheapest option, but if money isn't a concern then check out Cath Kidston: http://www.cathkidston.co.uk/Default.aspx?lang uage=en-GB&extcam=ppc_google
