Loch Laggan, Highlands

At Loch Laggan in the Highlands, from the main layby at the lochside on the A86, there is a prominant hill straight across the loch. Can anyone tell me what its name is? I've googled but can't get a pic of the hill from that side of the loch.

Thanks but I've googled and can't get the name. There are a few munroes in that area but can't pin down the name of the one in this picture:

The writing accompanying your picture, Monty, suggests we are looking across the loch towards the south-west...ie in the direction of Ben Nevis. On that basis, the picture may well be showing Beinn a'Chlachair at 3,569 feet...definitely a Munro.
Never having been there, I cannot vouch for that, but a glance at the appropriate Ordnance Survey map suggests it is a definite possibility.

If you are standing at the viewpoint about halfway along the loch and are looking roughly south east (ie. straight across to the far bank) my best bet would be that the smaller ridge in the front of the picture is Binnein Shios and the peak behind it is Meall Buidhe at 667m & 863m. It's not perfect but without knowing your exact position and line of sight it's about as good as I can get using a 3D version of the OS map of the region.
