Arranging league fixtures
5 Answers
Does anyone know how to arrange fixtures for a league with 10 team who must play each other home and away. The problem is 4 entrants have entered 2 teams each and both teams cannot be at home at the same time. Any suggestions. I already have fixture schedule for a basic 10 team league without the problem mentioned.

Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5
A v B C v A E v C G v C I v G
C v D E v B G v A I v C J v E
E v F G v D I v B J V A H v C
G v H I v F J v D H v B F v A
I v J J v H H v F F v D D v B
All I've done is written the first week's matches out then moved the letters ( teams ) in a clockwise direction to produce week 2 and so on. Obviously you need to continue to week nine then reverse the fixtures. You'll also have to turn some fixtures round each week so that teams don't get a run of too many home/away matches e.g
Week two reverse the middle three.
I'm sure that with a bit of fine-tuning by you it will work.
Best of luck.
