Has the world gone PC mad (part 2)

Isn't it amazing, not only does this ruddy Muslim get to not serve alcohol in a supermarket (just like the under 18 year olds) but (and this really makes me mad):
If I were to employ a woman, she would be able to just leave her job if she got pregnant. And she would have the right to return to her job in 12 months time. If I didn't provide her with a job she would be able to sue me. Men don't get that right.
I tell you - it's PC gone mad. Its the end of Great Britain as we know it. Bring back the corsets and the regular beatings. blah blah blah, muslim, muslim, muslim, asylum seeker, paedophile, muslim, ad lib to fade.

But that's a massive 'if'.
It's so hypothetical that it's difficult to argue it as a point.
Okay, let's say you took your company to a tribunal claiming sexual discrimination because you weren't allowed to take off time equal to a woman's maternity leave, your employer would be in their rights to say, "Okay, once you start ovulating, and then carry a baby to full term, we'll give you maternity leave".
The reason why men can't have maternity leave is coz we can't have babies.

btw - I don't read the daily mail - I heard the story on the BBC morning news. It must be getting slow news time though, becasue you get some extraordinary "filler" stories.
I didn't realise that all people under 30 were completely tolerant of all cultural/racial/sexual differences - should we conduct a straw poll?
As an interesting aside. I was speaking to a neighbour who's little boy goes to school with my son - the family are from saudi arabia - we were talking about a house in the next street that had recently sold and she mentioned that they knew the new owners as they attended the same mosque - I commented that it would be nice for her to have some friends nearby. She was aghast as these people were iraqi and she didn't like iraqi people as they were in her words "very antisocial" and "strange".
I can confirm that she was indeed over 30.

My views are coloured by the twentysomethings I meet at work.
They're also informed by my 17 year old nephew. I like to hear his thoughts because he's a very typical South London lad.
However, he did once refer to Madonna as 'that funny old lady", so perhaps I should ignore his obviously
ill-formed opinions.

Raggy Roman has a particular tub to thump and it concerns his lack of ability to be awarded maternity leave/pay, etc.
He likes to slip this in to many arguments regarding equality of pay/sexes/ Political Correctness...................
It's quite a big tub to thump, too, and it makes a lot of noise; so much so that it has obviously drowned out the sound of the many other sensible/reasonable/explanatory posts he's received on this particular subject..................

No...people change. Outdated attitudes get replaced.
Good, Excellent, perhaps now we can draw a line under slavery once and for all ?
Incidently sp1814, why do you want a day off a week, so that you can sit at home and think about Kylie? Are you batting for our side now?
