Your medical practicioner will no doubt tell you what is recommended, but that will likely be a belt and braces list. Avoid exposing yourself to obvious risks (drink only bottled water, do not eat fresh vegetables nor fruit you have not peeled yourself, plus avoid getting bitten by mosquitoes by spraying your bedroom top corners plus undersides of furniture and wearing effective repellents if you must go out after dark, mosquito milk tropical version is possibly the best) once there and go armed with inoculations against yellow fever, tetanus and at least the easiest ones against hepatitis.
