I take Thyroxine for my under active thyroid, metformin and glipazide tablets plus insulin for my diabetes. Since starting the insulin in June, I feel as if i have PMT some days. I am 63, past all that. Could it be too many hormone medicines?

The hormones that cause PMT are the sex hormones, not thyroxine or insulin. Low thyroid levels may make you feel irritable and depressed, have you had your levels checked recently? Also, hypo or hyperglycaemia can cause mood changes, have your blood glucose readings been stable?

Thanks for your reply. My sugar readings are OK first thing but as the day goes on they are in the high teens. I will also get my thyroid checked.
