at either side of the card should be a little clip
just carefully pull both sides apart and the mem card should pop out
see http://www.3dgameman.com/content/view/199/103/
It's worth watching - the guy is a total gem

one question though ... if there are two slots why not add rather than change?

hi thanks for that. but its not the same hp pc. mine doesnt have the clips on the side to take out the ram, its in like a cradle thingy.
i want to take it out to replace it with a 512. at moment i only hav 192. so you see i really need more ram.
cheers anyway.
The pavillion manual shows conventional slots
I wonder if you are looking at the HDD?

no i was looking at the right bit. but didnt see the clips on the sides, was told about them b4 i opened it up. so wasnt sure with not seeing them first time around, untill with ur help from the link i saw the clips, and now undstand why u said why not add then remove, the other slot is empty, so i can add, i think i can only go up to 512 ram so only need to buy 256ram and add it, thanks alot.
