i have been given a chilli plant which is about 30cm tall now. It has about 30 big green leaves it has not fruited yet but there are flowers growing now. I am a bit concerned because some of the leaves are paleling and thinning out, some also have brown tinges on the edges i have it in a pot indoors it has not gone outside yet please help any advice would be gratefully received.

Don't put it outside unless you have a heated greenhouse. Keep it warm at a temperature in the mid twenties celsius. At this time of year you will have few insect pollinators so transfer the yellow pollen between flowers with a paintbrush or rolled tissue paper. I have had good success with either.
Yellowing could be due to cold shock or a lack of trace or major elements in the soil/compost. Use a tomato feed diluted as per tomato instructions and now it is flowering feed constantly throughout the fruiting period.
Good luck!

thats great thanks alot
I hate to disappoint you but it's probably reaching the end of its (one year) life. The flowers that you see now are unlikely to set and develop into edible fruits simply because of lack of daylight/warmth at the latitude at which we in the UK live.
