Can anyone tell me , what the law is regarding the amount of nights one can stay in girlfreinds home when she is on benefits, thanks

It is 3 nights out of 7. It doesnt matter if these are consecutive nights or not, just dont stay more than 3 nights a week.
I thought it was 2 nights but I could be wrong...I frequently am.lol. The best way to find out would be to phone the benefits office and ask.

I think you will find that it is 0 nights because the dhss class any nights as cohabitating
The trouble you will have is proving how many nights you stay..my guess will be the same as MYSTERYT.

Try putting this question in the Law section..there are many legal eagles over there!

Thanks , did,nt want my sons g/freind to get into trouble, on her freinds sayso.
Im on the same position myself, it is 3 nights. Any more than that and it is classed as co-habiting. If it isnt now then it has changed since I made the enquiry myself.
i think all they are concerned with is whether your contributing financially.
