I was wondering if you guys "did" halloween. I agree that the strangers thing is scary in today's world. When i was child, we only went to neighbors and grandma's house for trick or treating. Mom went over that bag of candy like scientist looking through a microscope.
The community where I live has tried to help create a safe environment by having local merchants sponsor a "Trick or Treat" walk. Our local business area is about three blocks long and the merchants provide candy. This does not totally eliminate the stranger factor, but is better than door to door knocking. It is cute to see the little ones in their costumes and it sort of brings back the small town feeling we had when i was young. It is the older one's who throw eggs and spray shaving cream that ruin it.
We don't want Paris Hilton either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL
