Hi
Advise please.
I resigned from a job and left at the end of Sept due to problems at work, I had been there for over 2 years. The person in charge of me was always up to no good and it came to a point that I could not work knowing what was going on. He usually covered his tracks very well so I decided to go and get out of a bad situation.
However today I have heard that he is telling everyone he had sacked me for stealing, which is totally untrue.
I have a letter here from HQ accepting my resignation and wishing me well for the future.
Is there anything I can do to stop him? Thankfully friends that know me, know that I would never do such a thing. I have become self employed since leaving so no need for any references but worried that this may get to my clients. Bad news always seems to travel faster than good.
Thanks

Thankyou for your answer

I have decided to email HQ of the company and hopefully they will investigate the matter.
I feel now that I have nothing to lose, I know that I have done nothing wrong ans must have my say.
He will probably try and talk his way out of it, just hope that he does not try to put the blame on anyone else.

Thanks again
