Making a purchase from a US website

I'm thinking of buying a wristwatch from a US website as the price is almost exactly 50% less than buying it in a shop here in the UK.

I realise that when the FedEx man delivers the watch to me I will be liable for import taxes/ duties/ VAT and God only knows what other payments but how can I calculate how much I will have to pay? Is there somewhere to phone and find out? A website perhaps?

Have you looked at the Fedex website,they normally give loads of info. the DHL one is really useful too.
