Sticky stuff

I recently purchased a new pair of jeans (internet order). I put them on and was just about to leave the flat when Mr Filbert noticed that I still had the sticky label attached to my leg! I pulled it off, only to find that half the gluey stuff stayed attached to the leg. Whats the best way to remove this? Thanks in advance.
PS I don't live in the UK so it will have to be an easy remedy)

I find nail polish remover works well BUT first try dabbing some on a test patch which isn't on show (e.g. inside the waist band) so make sure it doesn't change the colour of the material.

Rub an ice -cube on it,and it will start to crumble off.It worked for me when I got gum on a denim skirt.
