Male or Female cat
Hi, Can you give me some advice please?
I have agreed my daughter can have a cat and we will go to a shelter and hopefully find a young unwanted puss. But, male or female?
Is it true that even neutered toms still spray and which would be better in a busy household with young teenagers and two gentle labradors? Thanks>

However, some time ago we re homed an older male cat, who was only neutered before we picked him up and he did spray, badly!
Both of my cats are different, the ginger tom loves laying on his back to have his tummy rubbed and plays with the dog, the older one doesn't like either. I guess it is their temperament. If they are young and get used to the dogs then they will be fine.
Good luck!

I have 2 year old brother and sister cats.
Frankie is laid back and would love a dog to play with, he has a lovely nature.
His sister, Merlin, is beautiful and feminine looking but she is a bit short tempered and grumpy.
They are both lovely cats, very clean, Frankie doesn't spray. They are great company and always up to something mischievous.
Good luck - I am sure that the dogs will survive!
