Kidney beans are beans which are kidney-shaped. White kidney-beans are kidney-beans which are white rather than red.

Actually, the first poster was probably inquiring about the main ingredient in these trendy new diet pills. They're referred to as carb or starch blockers, and the active ingredient is listed as 'white kidney bean extract'. So of course I'm trying to find out about it on the internet, as the first poster most likely was, to see if I could simply buy the white kidney beans themselves in a health food store or somewhere like that. It would be a lot cheaper that buying those shamelessly expensive supplements! :-) If I find any useful info, I'll post it here for others who might be curious about it.
