Clarkson and Co. cause BBC more embarrassment

Jeremy Clarkson and James May openly breached the smoking ban on the popular motor show Top Gear. They were smoking Porsche branded pipes as part of a discussion about the brand's line pf products for sale online. Some anti-smoking campaigners were outraged and are demanding apologies, but regular followers of the show know that this stunt was something not out of the ordinary. What do you think? The pair clearly broke the law but the whole scene was done in jest?

Personally I couldnt really give a toss, but imagine one's life must be rather empty if you have nothing better to do than complain about something that happened on top gear.

I find the whole show rather pointless,throwing licence payers money around as if it was going out of fashion. The whole thing is about 2 or 3 prats pretending they are "right-on".Silly Oxbridge graduates no doubt.

i think everyone here has placed a valid point. I love the show and found what they did funny, but at the same time it was illegal what they did and not fair for those who were there in the audience, though I must stress that according to the BBC, not one audience member complained.

But it should not be one rule for them and another for us.

Rev - once again your post makes me chuckle...too true my friend too true! Everyone has a pop at me for moaning about people parking in disabled bays, but this is really taking the biscuit and the lime light off me (phew). Imagine the life those who complained lead???

people watch the show cos its funny and they make people laugh doing outragous things like this every week. who didn't laugh when jezza burnt his tongue?! if people find it offensive, dont bleeding watch it, simply as!!
