Ford Fiesta Finesse Fan Problem S reg

When switching on the fan heater it makes an irritating noise as if the fan is slightly catching on something or a leaf has got trapped in it. I have no idea where to look to get to the part to investigate is it easy to access and how can this be solved.

possibly the fan is starting to seize up or the bearing has collapsed and causing the fan to hit the casing while turning.

fans under n/s dash easy to take out and check for a leaf 3 screws and twist
