Locked Netgear WG602 v3??

I bought the above access point of Ebay, found out it wasn't what i needed, so decided to sell it on again.

The buyer received it, but has contacted me saying that it is locked to Telewest/Blueyonder and can not be configured?

What does this mean, and is it possible to unlock it?
