Mediaplazza?

I bought a ringtone for �4.50 off a website run by a company called Mediaplazza? I paid by paypal but instead of just taking �4.50 they took �36 in 8 seperate transactions. I have asked for my money back but they have refused. They were also going to take �36 a month until I cancelled it. What can i do to get my money back???

When you first signed up did you check the small print? Unfortunately most of these companies make their money by continuing to send you texts and charging you for them until you text back "stop" to them.

And if this is written in the small print, I don't think there's a lot you can do about it

A lot of them (if not all) sell ringtones via a subscription service. It sounds like Mediplaza have done the same.

If it was in their terms and conditions which presumably you agreed to, then there's not much you can do.
