Look what the cat dragged in
16 Answers
I adopted a 1 yr old cat and its began to go outside. So far it's brought in loads of red rubber bands that the postmen drop, 2 birds feathers and today a bread roll what I can only assume she got from the shop next door. She left a trail of bread crumbs from the cat flap, up the stairs to the lounge.

My cat never managed to catch anything to bring home until the day he trotted in with a rabbit! I couldn't believe my eyes, as I never thought they'd go after such things. The rabbit was still alive - and survived - but I think the shock must've been too great for Winston, as it was the first and last time he ever presented us with anything.
when my cat was a young kitten i was talking to a neighbour and saying how the cat had never brought anything in and how pleased i was that i didnt have to clean up guts. The very next day she brought in a road kill mouse. It was about 1mm thick and very dry and crispy lol
Another came in one day looking like tom off the tom and gerry cartoons. Huge cheeks and a wing poking out of his mouth. We caught him and tried to prise his mouth open. he eventually spat out a baby bird. But his mouth was still full so we repeated the exercise, another baby bird. He still looked sheepish so again we did it, and again.
4 baby birds were in his mouth!!!
I also came home one day to find my kitcen resembling a murder scene, blood everywhere! He'd bitten a pigeon but let it go and it had flown around and around bleeding to death and splattering everything with blood. Yuk
I did hear once of a family of 4 kittens who were found dragging (with a little kitten at rear pushing) a live pheasant through a cat flap lol

Besides regularly fetching back birds, mice and voles our cats have brought......a dead rat in a rat trap, an empty rat trap, and one of them once brought back a kids necklace with a plastic alien on it. It was harder to prise that out of her mouth than any of the animals she has ever brought home, there was no way she was letting it go lol
My now deceased cat only ever brought home dead creatures that she killed herself and would leave them on the doorstep for her human slave (me) to dispose of, apart from the two times mrs 4GS was pregant, then, on both occasions she brought in a live bird and dropped it at Mrs 4GS's feet and then would strutt around with her tail in the air as if to say ' look how benevolant I am". Needles to say Mrs 4GS would run qith the speed of 100 zebras that are being chased by some lions out of the room and it was up to yours truely to coax the bird out of the house,
I dont have any pets but I have a story for you. Years ago when I stayed round my then boyfriends he used to go to work on a Saturday morning and leave me in the house with his family. I was very shy back then so I slept in most of the time to avoid conversation with his mum, anyway one saturday morning I hadnt relised his mum had gone out and his dog kept coming upstairs and pushing me with his nose, I;d ignore and go back to sleep, he did it a couple of times then on the 3rd nudge I turned round and he dropped a t-bag in my hand, to my devistation he'd been through the bins and there was a trail all the way from the kitchen up the stairs to the bedroom, So I had to get up and clean the whole lot up.
