Which do you prefer? I like eBay better, hate Amazon but still use it. Maybe I don't know how to use Amazon properly but things are more detailed on eBay!!

lol I know what you mean I just got my student loan and have ordered around 5-6 dvds in one and a half days!!
I don't quite understand the question!
How can you compare Ebay with Amazon?
They are about as different as Socks and Shoes...
I use amazon to buy books, dvds and cds, because the prices are cheaper and I feel you get the items quicker.
for everything else I use ebay.
ooh how I miss internet shopping :(
I always found amazon a bit of a ball ache in the respect that it wouldnt give you the total price until you had gone through war and peace.

or i could have just done it wrong.

I think amazon is less user friendly unless your used to it!!
Nver used Ebay but I have used Amazon quite often.
No problems!
Cruella when does it give you the final price ie the cost and p&p?
P&P can be high with Amazon, and if I buy new dvds I can usually find them much cheaper at play.com or sendit (both with free postage) than either eBay or Amazon.

I do use both ebay and amazon - as a buyer and a seller.

I think I find ebay better because I have used it longer!!
Reverandfunk, amazon has a system where P&P prices are fixed. there is a link somewhere on the site saying what the postage is for everything in list format.. but I can't be bothered to go look!! I think the price for a regular DVD is 1.24 postage. which is pretty reasonable if you ask me :D
ebay can be a pain in the bum, for instance, my last buying experience was with a seller who had almost 100% feedback, I won a pair of shoes and they weren't happy with the winning bid, so they removed their address from ebay, so I had to get it off one of their other buyers through their feedback, they replied to NONE of my emails, this was over 2 months.. I sent payment a total of 3 times, and then had them removed from ebay for being complete tosh..
grrr
I haven't used ebay since.. need to though, I'm in need of some seriously intense internet shopping!
If it's DVDs, CDs or Books then Amazon definitely. After you've used it once your delivery address and credit card details are all stored so it's pretty much a one click and your done...too easy. I always save up purchases to make sure it's over the 15 for free delivery too. I think eBay is too full of pirate copies and dodgy region DVDs to make it worthwhile considering. As for the other DVD suppliers like sendit.com I've been let down too many times where I've ordered a DVD and then they tell me it's not actually in stock but on order. The on order never materialises and I eventually give up.
i've never even considered e-bay .. amazon have been perfect for me for years
