Isn't it funny that the person in the photofit/sketch looks surprising like Micheal Jackson only days after the documentary on tv the other night all about jackson's life, and the child abuse stories.

So much so, the photofit is almost like a psychological test/stereo typing for the public, in that if faced with a Jackson or Glitter look-a-like we think they are more 'risky' and more likely to be a child abuser? Is that why he the photofit/sketch looks like this? Or is it just a coincidence?

My post is aimed at anyone who thinks it is amusing to have a go at this desperate couple. Your comments go beyond opinion. They are also contradictory, The McCanns made a huge mistake in leaving the children alone. This has been established. They have acknowledged this. They have been punished for this. Unfortunately, so has Madeleine. They dont have to apologise to you! But I find it strange that you criticise them for leaving Madeleine alone, but at the same time are convinced that they killed her, before going out for dinner. Make your mind up! A lot of you say you are sick of the whole saga, yet you seem to derive a lot of pleasure from all the cr*ap reported. You talk about evidence. There is no evidence as yet in the public domain. I have noticed that most of the ABers still posting about this subject are the anti McCann camp. The others , who are intelligent enought to know that the media have no more idea about what really happened than any of us, are keeping this story going for the likes of you, in order to keep you entertained and thus make a profit. It is you who are keeping this story going, and directing attention away from all the other children who have gone missing. Dont blame the McCanns for this. They are hurting enough, They should not have to be defending themselves, and jumping through hoops to please scumbags like you.
Parenting is not an exact science. When I was a child, I thought my parents were infallable, knew everything. Now I am a parent myself I realise they were not. They made mistakes. I have made mistakes, though none that have resulted in tragedy. I have been lucky. There is no such thing as a perfect parent. There but for the grace of God, go you or I.

Cant escape the facts tho sambro, they continually left their children alone in an open apartment, something they wouldnt have done with their 'valuables' on holiday, so how did they value their kids? That wee girl didnt not deserve whatever has happened to her, the McCanns are so selfish.

Weeal - yes I cannot argue that they should not have done that. But thousands of other people have done that. Especially on holiday. IMHO they were naive, not selfish.Naive not to be paranoid about taking their eyes of their child for a moment lest she be snatched by some sick perverted paedophile. The world is crawling with them. It is them you should be venting your spleens on . Them and the authorities that refuse to control them.
This whole saga was a shambles from the very beginning. it was not investigated properly from the very start. That is fact. The new chief investigator has admitted that. I have always been critical of the original investigation. I am now confident that the PJ have got someone competent on the case. I just hope it is not too late. Given that any evidence possibly present immediately following this incident was missed or destroyed. No rational person could possibly believe that any of the rubbish we have seen in the press is of any use whatsoever. All this is doing is fuelling a hate campaign. As yet there is no evidence that warrants the inhumane treatment that the McCanns have to endure. If you really are decent people as you claim, then wait for the truth. If you cannot feel any sympathy for the McCanns then at least be civilised. When I look at her I am reminded of Sally Clark who was wrongly convicted of killing 2 of her children. The conviction was overturned. But the abuse and injustice that she suffered was too much for her and she died at the very young age of 48. Her husband and father are convinced that her heart and spirit were irrecovably broken.

I have to say I whole heartedly agree with you. Paul Routledge in yesterdays Daily Mirror says he has deliberately refrained from commenting about this case. But felt compelled to speak out about all the negativity that was adding to her distress. It is a brilliant piece, written straight from the heart. It made me cry!
