ikea uplighters.

Hi, i know this may be odd but, we are about to move to spain and want to buy the above mentioned lights which are supposed to use halogen bulbs(i have tried to contact ikea) and we want to use ordinary or energy saving bulbs in them, is this possible/ safe to do.thank you in advance. allgram.

Halogen bulbs have different fittings and are a different shape, having either two prongs out the back, or two round knobs. They will only fit if you buy an alternative intended to fit a halogen shape - see here (second one down).
