I normally use Firefox as my browser and so all desktop icons (shortcuts) automatically start off in Firefox. However, is it possible to create one or two to start off in Internet Explorer ? I can start up IE, no problem, and then type in the address of the site I want to visit, but it would be quicker for me to use a shortcut instead. Any ideas anyone ? Thanks.
Why clutter up your desktop with shortcuts? Why not use the browser's bookmarks facility? That way you can separate your favourite sites into IE- and Firefox-friendly sites.
One of the advantages of Firefox is that you can organise your bookmarks into folders.
Right click on the desktop and select New > Shortcut from the context menu. This will bring up a Create Shortcut window. Where it says 'Type the location of the item' enter
