keeping a usb external hdd private on shared computer?

I will be plugging in my usb hdd to a friends computer but want to keep some of my stuff private ....what would be the best way to do this.... could I create a big lockable folder and stash all my stuff there and at the same time be able to access it without too much bother???....will be using win xp Will be sharing the computer for a couple of months minimum....thanks

go to google and search for cryptext and download--u can then encrypt the files u want with a password

thanks ajmmac...googled and found on same page Cryptainer which might suit me better...acts like another drive... just drag and drop any type of file into it and its secure with 128bit encryption... Light version has a limit of 25mb....
Make a big uncompressed zip folder and just drag & drop into there, or just unplug the thing when you're finished.

Other post on this subject are WRONG. go into the shared HDD  on the files you want to keep private, RIGHT CLICK> PROPERTIES >SECURITY>DENY ACCESS  TO THE USER YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE THESE FILES. this denies access to other user
