Name that song

There is a song which I have been trying to find out the name of for years. I've only ever heard parts never the wrong thing in one go. From what I know, it doesn't have any words, just instruments but its not classical. It ends with a piano playing out but the rest of it is hard to describe! My bf thinks it might be something by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. I first heard it when it was used on 999 (the programme with Michael Burke) but more recently it is used quite a bit on the X Factor. Please help as it has been bugging me for years!

i beleive the name of the song is
Clubbed to Death [Kurayamino Mix] by rob d you can hear a sample of it on the amazon site under the matrix soundtrack let me know if this is correct hope it is
