I doubt that the new lot who want to charge me a new rip off rate for only their binbags will see a bean unless the service of the new crew is exceptional.
well the extra service I get from my binmen is zero, infact I myself have the extra service to provide of sweeping up the rubbish they drop all over the ground, not to mention that after 2 weeks of painstaking paper separation for recycling they emptied all my efforts into the same cart they emptied the black sacks into..
we all have jobs to do in life, my mom has to feed elderly people who are incapable, she has to wash and dress them also, she works her xmas's regularly and gets a lower pay rate than the bin men...and no she doesnt get any tips.

All of the above.
We also send them a nice card, saying:
Thank you for coming out in all weathers to..............
1)delivery our daily newspaper
2) delivery our weekly paper
3) thank you for helping us to keep our property tidy
3) Thank you for coming out in all weathers to deliver our post
if you give them the praise they deserve, they will always remember you appreciate them, and strive to give you a good service.
My son was a 7 day a week paper boy, and on a Sunday the paper bag was so heavy he had to have help from his dad to carry his bag. He delivered in all weathers for a full year. When he called at his customers for a Christmas tip, the biggest tips were from elderly people. The tighest were the ones who lived in five bedroomed houses, with two x four-wheeled drives on the front. One of whom, ( a local teacher) gave him nothing!. She also embarrased him by asking him why he was calling! Please bear this in mind when children call.

Yeah I suspect I'm just about to experience similar ... can't wait to meet the geezers who think that in a wooded area where the foxes and magpies love bin day ... people are now only allowed to put the bags -no holders- out the night before ( needs to be at property edge by seven , I reckon it'll be at the edge of every bodys property by seven o. five lol )... if it was up to me your Mum would earn a shed load because of the impact that her work has on those she aids.
