ideas to generate funds to start a company...?
4 Answers
we have a tonne of stock - but nowhere to put it.
we have no money to put in, just the entire stock.
any ideas where we can get funding, grants, schemes etc etc - anything - that could help us get this business off the ground...?
we are wary of getting into loads of debt that we may not be able to pay back so are reluctant to try a bank - who will want repaying with interest asap.
thing is, we need a warehouse type building to house all the stock, so can't afford to just rent one at the moment, as we could not guarantee regular income - at least at the start
many thanks

Can you give me some more details about (i) what it is you have, (ii)the total value ( if you sold it), (iii) the unit price (iv) how you plan to sell it, (v)if it's just a one off or whether you plan to continue the business?(vI) where are you and where do you plan to sell it
Do you have anything like a business plan & do you have any previous experience in this field?
You'd be very pleasantly surprised about what service you get from a decent Business Manager at a decent bank - despite what the "tabloid" view is, they do genuinely want to help good businesses and have access to some great free resources. Yes they do want to make money but doesn't everyone.
