I have a load of felt and I thought I'd have a go at making some Xmas decorations.
Is there a way of stiffening felt as it's very floppy?

will this work on lace too, need stiff collar for fancy dress
thanks
Last year i made 25 little stockings out of felt ( just cut out a basic stocking shape and stitched two halves together with blanket stitch ); stitched a number onto the front of each and sewed them onto a ribbon to make an advent calender. The kids loved coming down each to see what little gift they had.
They don't need to be stiffened and you can make little ones to hang on your tree or bigger ones to use as gift bags.
You can buy spray starch from the supermarket, that will stiffen it,it will also work on lace.
Thanks daffy
