Anybody else ill today?
8 Answers
Last night i had insomnia, i managed to grab about 2hours sleep max. I woke up really tired to discover i had got a sore throat and a heavy chest. Now, i can't speak without my throat hurtning, and those sore throat tablets don't bloody work.
Am i on my own today, or are any of you suffering too?

Try Halls Soothers - the purple ones are good and also in relation to taking tables, then providing you're not allergic to them, then a soluble painkiller/paracetamol/asprin - whichever you prefer is better than a tablet form as you can gargle with it and it hits the back of the throat, before swallowing it. (I ued to suffer with tonsilitus and the dr told me about this).

Hi Wix, yes there is - my mum and dad have been ill too.
I hope it works for you. Also remember to drink plenty of fluids. I don't know if you've heard of it - but there is a vitamin called Echinacea. It bascially is supposed to boost your immune system if you're unwell and stop something developing into something much bigger. You're not meant to take it all the time though - only when poorly and only for about a week. I think they're may be restrictions on what type of person takes it too, not sure - best to check. You could ask the pharmacist about it and all of the details and see if they recommend you take it.

Oooh, that sounds like what I had last week, it's a bu99er to shift.
Lots of spicey food and lemon and ginger tea with honey and whiskey. You can also add whiskey to lemsip too with honey, that's quite nice. I lived on that and ice cream for the beginning of last week.
And whinging. Lots of whinging on here about how ill I was helped too... and when I lost my voice completely for a couple of days it was the only way I could whinge.
