7 Answers
this may sound like a silly question but i have heard so many answers to this question, is it possible to plug in and charge a sat-nav using a commercial vehicle bearing in mind that all commercial vehicles are 24v and the sat-nav is 12v and only designed for cars, any replies would be most appreiciated, thanks

available from truck stops and some garages for about a tenner plugs in and drops the 24v down to 12v.
another way of doing it is using an inverter these are available in 12 or 24v versions a little more expensive at around 20-25 quid
plug in and increase your 24v to 240v this means you can use your mains chargers instead.
hope this helps
