Video Editing with Ulead's VideoStudio 10 plus
I bought Ulead's VideoStudio 10 plus over 3 months ago and it has never been able to 'Capture' my Sony Video 8 Analogue tapes. Constant contact with their so called 'support' department over all this time has proved useless, they know less about the problem than I do telling me to download 'patches' from their web site which when I get there tell me that the patch in question is specifically for versions other than the one I have. This has happened so many times that I have given up on them, which is probably what they wanted anyway!
Can anyone help me with this problem please? I'm really fed up with them, Ulead has been bought out by Corel it seems and they don't even answer my question so they are proving even less than useless as well. I'm really desparate for some help.Thank you musicator3

Thank you neildownx
The capture device is the Philip's SAA713X Hybrid capture device
Ulead recognises it in so far as it displays the incoming video and sound in it's preview screen perfectly but when I click on the 'cature' button it tells me there is no signal despite the fact that I am watching it in the preview screen Yes the capture device works with no problem with Windows Movie Maker butthat it is very limited in resources.
I use Phonos to connect my Sony video player to my equipment.
Thanks
