Last little one, always the killer ! 20D Girl put up by us, commonly (4) ?E?S ; also is 18 A AREA, (which could be a field -eg of study etc- but what's the art bit got to do with it...?? Thanks

Thanks both, whilst clue for "area" is quite clever, I suppose, thought some of others were a bit naff today !

Agreed gardenknowin - This is the second time he's tried to catch us out with are=art. Also a=an, an=a three weeks in succession (although they are both 'indefinite articles'). Now we have M=Mark (pres Matthew, Mark etc) but the coup de grace is s=us (eg let's be on guard / let us be on guard). However, they do validate - you just have to think in Skeleton mode! Cheers, ja
