AB still working at a snail's pace

What's going on with AB lately? It's taking an age to open a page after clicking on a question and even then the page takes ages to load.

I'm getting very fed up with this. Why can something not be done about it? Don't blame it on lack of techies on weekends - it's been like this for well over a week.

Looking through Q&P questions and answers for a day takes hours to do.

When will this be fixed? Come on Ed, play fair.

yeah it is really annoying, but its a busy site most of the day, so maybe thats the cause?

Been on for about 20mins and it seems to be working fine......probably shouldn't have said that.....the gremlins will come and get me now....lol

I like the suggestion, but it's just as bad in the middle of the night and I can't put this down to postings from ABers based overseas in different timezones.

If they really cared about this situation, they should be able to bang in another server to put matters right. That's what most commercial companies do when their websites become increasingly popular. The advertising on this site should more than take care of the cost.

As an aside. If you use IE7, the 'phishing' filter works overtime on this site! Which also causes a delay.
