Visiting Pakistan on a British Passport

I am a Pakistani i have a British passport do I need to get a visa to visit Pakistan and do I also need a Pakistan I.D card to enter Pakistan

I think once you have a British passport you are classed as a British citizen and therefore would have to apply for a Visa for the duration of your stay.

You are not Pakistani, you are British, rules apply regadles of ethic origin! Perhaps if you were less confused the question would not needed to have been asked!

Yes, on reflection I was a little harsh, also a little frustrated at people who hold a British pasport but do not consider themselves British. I'm afraid I allowed my impatience to show.

I'm pakistani too, but this is the situation, if you have a british passport then you will need a visa, and I would advise that it's best to travel on a british passport in case of complications while abroad. But you know life is never simple so you CAN get an exemption instead of a visa which lasts for 5 years and means you can travel back and forth without worrying about getting a visa every year. And the final way to still travel on a british passport is to go down to the Pakistani Embassy and have an ID card made, which will allow you free access into the country and you won't need a visa or exemption, however to have an ID card made you need to show your parants proof of being pakistani, like their pakistani passport or their birth certificates.
