Discharge in late pregnancy

Hi Im 30 weeks pregnant and today had some discharge a bit more than normal it was clear and milky thick gel no blood tho i just wondered if anyoe else has had this before and if anyone knew what it was many thanks

If it was a bit jellyish or mucusy it might be the "show", the mucus plug at the neck of the womb. This usually comes out shortly before labour although in one of mine it was about 2 weeks before. As far as I know, your pregnancy can go on normally but I suggest you go to your midwife for a quick check just in case there are certain precautions you should be taking.

Ive got 2 children and can assure you that its just normal,i thought there was summit wrong with me,but theres alot of pressure there now and your bodily fluids are changing etc,if it turned green and smeleed foul then i would say see midwife,but im sure this discharge is normal.Good luck,lianne

i have been having exactly the same, mentioned it to my midwife as going through underwear and sanitary towels it's been so bad. Also like cottage cheese but not getting any smell or other symptoms to suggest it is an infection. Any ideas. Midwife is useless even though I have mentioned it.

Hi, I had the same thing with my first preganncy (o.k, an only,lol!) but I thought it was my show but it wasn't, just the old mucus jobbie...good luck darling,and take care X
