Husband with problem sinuses
1 Answers
my husband seems to be effected from year round hayfever symptoms... he has always got a runny nose and sneezes a number of times in a day, he's got dark circles under his eyes. Sometimes it starts off first thing in the morning when he sits up, or when he talks for the first time in the morning. He's had this for about 10 years and we've tried a number of things.... and are trying to work out if it is a prob with his sinuses or an allergy. We know he's intollerant to egg... so he does not eat egg, but if he does accidentally it effects his digestive system rather than his nose ! I hoover and wet dust every other day, we've changed the mattress and the pillows, got new carpets (not wool). I use non-bio washing powder. Antihistamines seem to work for him when it's bad. He sometimes gets an itchy mouth that makes his sneeze and then he gets the runny nose. He gets itchy eyes too which seems to set of the runny nose also. He's spoken to his doctor but they don't seem too helpful. so we paid for one of those allergy tests that use an ellectrode on your thumb and a few things were mentioned, animals (dog, cowhair rabbit), Rust and red wine (and egg) were a few that came up.... so we've tried to keep away but does ANYONE have any suggestions or ideas ..... it's the fact that it happens early morning that confuses me and when it does he has it for the day...

I take Rynacrom 4% spray all year round, it coats the lining of the nose and keeps the inflammation down but is prescription only.It occurs early morning probably due to house dust mite, it doesn't matter how much you clean they are still around, so he needs a preventative spray before bedtime. He should really return to the Dr and discuss this further possibly with a different Dr who is more sympathetic.
