my husband and i had a terrible year last year buried our heads in the sand and ended up with a handful of ccj's and defaullts. Due to my dad's generosity we are now mainly out of the woods, a few lingering debts that are now under control. We need to open a business bank account for a Ltd co. , we don't want any credit facilities (never again!), but due to our history won't get one at a high st bank. I've been looking on the net at these companies that can get you a bank account for a fee, however i am wary of handing over 100 up front. Can anyone advise?

CVR is one. you only have to google non status bank accounts and loads come up! so if you're in the industry what do you advise i do? I don't mind paying the money as long as i get the service!
Is there any reason you want to go Limited? If you trade as a sole trader you can( initially at least) just pay the money into a 'normal' bank account - you can always go limited in 6 months time after you have traded for a while - most banks will be far more interested then.
apologies mm25...got the wrong end of the stick..!
Have you actually spoken to any of the high street banks?
is it a new company you are creating if not how long have you been trading?
