I need to increase the screen size to fit the computer screen

It sounds like that's probably your monitor settings rather than the pc itself. You should have buttons on the fornt of your monitor which will allow you to stretch the display.

It may be that you are trying to display the screen at too high a resolution, and at that resolution it cannot fill the screen.

To change this RIGHT click on an empty area of the Windows desktop and select Properties.

The Display Properties window is displayed.

Select the Settings tab.

There are 2 settings you can change, screen resolution and colour quality.

Before you start changing anything maybe write down your existing settings in case you need to go back to them.

Now try changing your settings for screen resolution and colour quality to see if that makes any difference. Move them up and down.

I think you need to press OK for the settings to take effect.

Try a mixture of different settings to see if this fixes your problem.

One extra thing to ask.

Has it always been like this or has it just happened ?

Have you perhaps changed your monitor, or re-installed Windows?

If you have just reinstalled Windows you may need to install the hardware driver for your graphics card or monitor.

If you let us know how and when it started we may be able to give you a better answer.
