I want to send a DVD to my grandchildren in Australia, DVD's that they took with them to Australia are not compatable with DVD players in that Country. Can anyone advise. please i live in uk

Is it a commercial dvd? If so, could you buy it online from an Australian site?

The Dvd's in question are TMNT (Ninja Turtles) and Bridge to Terabithia. I'm a pretty ignorant gran when it comes to technology but thank you i will give buying on line a go
If I understand you, you mean they won't play down under. That's because they are probably region 2. Australia etc are region 4. Now there is no physical difference, the whole region thing is merely a commercial thing. Anyway, pretty much any DVD player can be "hacked" into a region 0 player (ie any region). The grand kids should write down the exact make and model of the player, go to a site like this and obey the hack instructions:
