Free Mason's Handshake

Anyone know what is so special about the Free masons secret handshake?

 

I think I know what it is but wanna see what other people think :)

One of the things about the handshake, is that it should let your colleague know at what level you are in your Lodge.

In some masonic circles it is preceded by an INTRO event and followed by a POST event. For example, the masonic for engineers includes a sharp jab in the face with elbows before and after the handshake. This masonic tends not to be well attended. I should know - I've never attended.

Contrary to what people think, you don't have to keep being a mason secret - you're encouraged to tell people so if you find one I expect they'll tell you the 'secret' handshake anyway!
