Publishing

How do I find a reputable publisher in London that I can trust with my material? I've been told I have some great material and I have tried Myspace as a network, but I don't know if I can rely on that to help me, there are so many cowboys out there.
Thanks in advance.

Call and see if they accept un-solcited m/s. If they do, send off the info and wait for a reply.
Send the docs and keep copies.
Use the web as well for info from such sites as bloomsbury.com which has stuff for aspiring writers to get to gripe with how to approach publishers, if you need an agent, about copyright issues, about how to submit transcripts - you do not send a copy of the book by the way - you send a synopsis, etc etc.
Hope this useful and best of luck!

Hi H - hope info was of use - by the way, do not ask your friends for crticism of any work - they can not be objective....you have to accept the comments even if negative from any professional body that you approach, and do not be put off by any rejections - take the process gradually and have fun!!
And do use a good spellchecker - I need one just for postings here....
Good luck!
