Was this the guy that got himself shot by all the policemen in some car chase in america? Are you asking why he killed himself or why he did it on TV? Not sure anyone will be able to help you with an answer, people who are suicidal experience emotions that truly make them feel that there is no other way of dealing with things. Not sure about the telly thing tho...

is this the guy who took a gun out of a brown bag, put it in his mouth and shot himself. i remember seeing and he did it because he was going to jail, but don't know why.

.....Anyways...Bud Dwyer was, at the time of his death the State Treasurer for Pennsylvannia who came from a rural county and considered himself a country boy, an idealist. But more than a month before his suicide a federal jury found Dwyer guilty of agreeing to accept a $300,000 bribe in exchange for awarding a $4.6 million contract to a California firm Computer Technology Associates. No money changed hands because the conspiracy collapsed weeks after the contract had been signed. Dwyer, facing a maximum term of 56 years in prison, swore his innocence until the end.

Bud Dwyer was the Pennsylvania State Treasurer. I read He was convicted by a Federal Jury of conspiracy to accept a $300,000 bribe in exchange for awarding a $4 million contract to a California computer firm. He was facing something like up to 56 years in prison. Apparently the scheme never actually took place because the whole thing was discovered and fell apart before any money changed hand. Mr. Dwyer called a TV news conference to complain about the unfairness of the justice system that convicted him.

1. Many believe he was an innocent man and was framed.

2. PLEASE heed the warnings about the video if you intend to watch it.  I was curious about the footage that led up to the actual death and wanted to see it.  I found a website that claimed to have a clip that stopped before the death.  It did, indeed, show the death and it's the single most horrific thing I've ever seen in my life.  I became ill over the course of the next few days.
